VAPA participates in Street Piano Festival-- Visual Arts Decorates

piano has arrived! Beginning April 12, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra brings Play
Me, I’m Yours to Los Angeles. We are very proud to serve as the location for
one of the 30 pianos, designed and decorated by local artists and community
organizations, to be featured across Los Angeles County. Everyone is invited to
play the piano, in celebration of acclaimed conductor and pianist Jeffrey
Kahane’s 15th anniversary as LACO music director.
The VAPA piano is located in front of the main stairs on Cesar Chavez Blvd.
It was decorated by Visual Arts Academy students Mynor Chinchilla,
Jackson Beyda, Alexandra Pedraza, Misouri Alatorre, and Nehemiah
Harris. The theme for their piano was rainbow vs life and death. We
have discovered many musical talents having a piano around. Wont you come and
